Meet Tosana
Tosana is a 14.2hh 1/2 Mangalarga Marchador & 1/2 Quarter Horse Chestnut Mare. She was born June 10th, 2013 in Kaw City, Oklahoma at Flying Oaks Ranch. She found herself in Arizona with an endurance rider until August of 2021 when she came home with me. She is cute as a button and most definitely a sensitive princess.
We are having some trouble warming up to each other and ultimately we are lacking a lot of trust. It didn't help that Tosana experienced some health problems (cellulitis & tendon splint injury) shortly after her arrival. She is my project horse and I hope that we get many great rides together.
Meet Brynn
Brynn (B-Rin) is an old soul. Brynn came to us in March 2021. She is about 16hh and a tank. She is a quarter horse but we think that she must have some foundation QH in her somewhere. The vets believe she is between 10-12 years old but could be as old as 15. Prior to us bringing her home, her prior owners left her at a barn for 5 years and the owners of the barn used her for lessons to pay for her board.
Brynn is the husband horse of the herd and will take care of anyone who puts their butt in the saddle. Brynn's health issues include very thin skin & allergies. Last year we battled habronema infection in her eyes and hope to stay away from it this year. She lost a lot of weight last year and we are still trying to put it all back on her.
Meet Luigi
Luigi was my most playful and mischievous equine friend. I brought Luigi home, formerly named, Mariachi, in January 2014 as a 2-3 year old. He was my first green broke horse and I had ambitions to train him myself from the ground up. We accomplished a lot and I was very proud of how far we came for just learning in my back yard. He was my partner in crime and pain in my ass for 7 years. It came a time that I wasn't able to keep up with his need to work or have a job and he found an awesome human doing mounted archery.
